For the first time, L/A Community Little Theatre is proud to offer a WINTER/SPRING BREAK KIDS CAMP.
Children from Grades 3 through 6 may register for our Winter Camp that will end by staging
DISNEY'S 101 DALMATIONS (KIDS)
during April vacation.
Initial rehearsals will be on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., January 3rd through April 11th, 2026. The week of the show, intensive rehearsals will be 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, April 20th to April 24th, 2026.
Our performances will be Friday, April 24th, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 25th at 2:00 p.m..
Campers, and parents, will have a full orientation and tour of the space.
Campers will be trained in slating, auditioning, learning their lines, music and choreography, have sets, costumes, lights, and sound just like all of our main stage shows. Their training in this program will equip them with the understanding of how to audition properly at any theater, and learn the skills to become a responsible, respectful cast member with any production.
Campers will work on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., breaking into groups with the director, choreographer, and music director to prepare for their performance while learning proper theater etiquette, terminology, and manners. There will be basics taught of blocking, singing, and dancing.
We will also be learning about all of the facets of production: set, décor, stage management, front of house, programs and tickets. We will show our campers how many people are involved in producing a successful production and how we respect, acknowledge, and thank the supporting members of our team that help to make our show successful and an enjoyable experience for all.
We will have teen counselors who will work with campers to assist them with tips and tricks they have learned to calm nerves, to remember lines, and smooth out their vocals and dancing. Like all members of our CLT community our ten counselors are volunteers and have been involved with our summer youth and teen programs.
